San Francisco Woods

I naturally did lots of walking during my trip to San Francisco. On my last day there I walked to the park near the Botanical, Rose and Japanese Gardens, in one section I walked through a small woodsy area and took this picture of the trees. It was absolutely beautiful and smelled of... well, woods! Dreamy. This is the kind of woods I dream to be living near in my country home, I was charmed that such a place could exist in the middle of a city.

I Spot Shimmering Gold Fields

This past weekend I went on a little road trip to visit a close friend of mine who lives in San Francisco, the drive was six and half hours on the 5 FWY, could be quite dull compared to the 1 or the 101 but I thought it beautiful, we were just in time to catch shimmering gold fields along the way.

A Doorway That Can Really Make A Difference

Often times it's in the details of a home's structure that makes a difference, like the rounded doorway pictured above, I absolutely love it!

Just Leave The Mail By The Door!

Just because I'd be living in the remote country side doesn't mean I wouldn't get mail, quite the contrary- the further you are from civilization it seems the more mail you receive. I found a beautiful wall mount mail holder that also doubles as a coat hanger! It really is perfect for someone such as I who tends to throw everything on the nearest seat closest to the front door.

Cheese?

Arroyo Rectangular Tray by Amenity Home

I love cheese and I love fruit, I love cheese with fruit and fruit with cheese. I eat a lot of cheese, fruit and crackers and on these nights when I have the munchies I slice up the cheese into bite-size pieces (I love doing that) along with sliced fruit and crackers, I serve it on a small wooden cutting board or on just a regular plate. I'm currently in the look out for an affordable but nice looking wooden cheese tray which is how I came across today's post, the Arroyo Rectangle Tray made by Amenity Home is a beautiful one, but at $88 it's so not affordable and my hunt for a cheese tray forages on. Tis a beautiful tray though.

Banda Selections

Banda Chaise

I guess I can hardly call it a selection when there's only two to choose from, but really, in my opinion two is all you need. I often browse around on the Anthropologie site, they've got such charming things in their 'Home' department including these Banda chairs.

Though by the looks of the Banda chairs you're more likely to set it outdoors rather than indoors, I can imagine something rather interesting and charming for indoor use for the Banda chairs. Perhaps set it over a colorful rug in the designated sun-room with one of those wood-stump tables, accessorizing would be to your advantage at this point: a cute simple lamp, a pile of books on the floor etc, etc... you get my drift i'm sure.

Getting Some Excercise

Alternative Eco Heather Crop Pant $34

Today I went on a bit of a hike. The weather was perfectly gray and cool for the strenuous hike and except for the slightly smoggy city skyline the greenery surrounding me from the trees, bushes and flowers was absolutely beautiful. Living in the city surely gives me much more appreciation for nature and all it has to offer... even bug bites I suppose.

It got me thinking of how I will take brisk walks in the countryside and so found the perfect pants for them!
