Farmer's Market Wear on an Autumn day
I frequent my local Farmer's Market and stock up on my vegetables and fruit for the week, it is often the high-light of my week as I truly love visiting and shopping at the Farmer's Market, it could be the fact that I'm shopping outdoors and know that these vegetables and fruits were grown with love without any added chemicals. I always like to fully enjoy my weekly Farmer's Market shopping day and very often this also means dressing appropriately since you could be standing out in the rain or sun for a period of time. For Autumn in California it is important to dress warm but not too warm, here is my suggestion for a Farmer's Market ensemble in California Autumn.
The paper-bag waist, below-the-knee skirt in a bright color for an Autumn morning can brighten a cloudy gloomy day, pockets I find are very important at Farmer's Market as digging through your wallet at every single stall or even every other stall can be quite tiresome.

Walking outdoors in cooler weather means covering the toes and wearing comfortable shoes. When I look for comfy shoes there's only two places I go to, Campers or Born. On days at the Farmer's Market I tend to go for the easy off and on shoes, that way when I get home I don't have to set all my bags down to fiddle with my footwear.

Country chic denim top
One of the top 10 things that I related to the country-side is... denim, I know, how stereo-typical of me, but it's true. When I think of clothes in the country-side I immediately start thinking prairie skirts and denim. But of course this doesn't mean you have to live out of style and out of the loop in the country, hence my post today on my find at GAP, the 1969 Ruffle back-tie top in color, Big Sky, which very much looks like? Yes, you've guessed it, denim!

Gardening Wear
If you haven't realized already tending to my vegetable garden in the country-side is a vital part of my life in the country, and while to some that may give you the idea that I'm just a down-to-earth girl who romps around in a jumper all day (and to an extent that may be true), I can't deny that I am unable to surpress that girl in me and do care what I wear and how I look. So, for those fashionable gardeners out there here's a post on what you can wear while getting down and dirty.
Pictured below is a shirt of the band, The Who. I myself have a good collection of shirts I've gotten at concerts, some of them are quite old and faded like the one below and really are not that good in condition to be worn out, though some girls would pair them with distressed jeans, boots and lots of jewelry and say "it's absolutely fab!" Perhaps it could be, but I think they'd be even cuter for gardening.

The whole cut-off jean shorts thing is a must for gardening, I can't imagine gardening in anything else, besides it's very sexy in a 'that girl next door' kind of way.

Sweater for a cool evening out
I saw the Tulip Sleeve Cardigan at Anthropologie and just thought it darling, it would be perfect on a nice evening out in cooler weather. The color and texture are warming and remind me of comfortable home in the country.

Recently I signed up at the nearest Yoga Studio near me, I pay a flat rate and go to as many yoga classes I need for the month. Yoga proves to be very helpful in these hectic times, simply living in the city can drive one crazy. I found yoga to be very relaxing... soothing, after a class I always feel better. So the question is, is yoga needed in country living? My answer is "yes" and though you may not need yoga the way you need it in the city, yoga is truly for the soul, for comfort of mind and body and that's good anywhere you go.

When Hosting An Outdoor Dinner Party In The Country This Is What I'd Wear
Summer time inevitably means warm still nights and the crickets will most likely be singing until daybreak. To celebrate the tranquil country side during the summer it'd only be proper to host a fancy dinner party! Candle lamps, table cloth, lanterns in the tree, a pitcher of ice cold lemonade, a bottle of good wine, roast beef, beet salad with lots of dill, a platter of freshly picked veggies, hot rolls with butter, twice baked potatoes and key-lime pie to give it a nice finish. What do you wear on such a nice warm-weather occasion?

Today I went on a bit of a hike. The weather was perfectly gray and cool for the strenuous hike and except for the slightly smoggy city skyline the greenery surrounding me from the trees, bushes and flowers was absolutely beautiful. Living in the city surely gives me much more appreciation for nature and all it has to offer... even bug bites I suppose.
It got me thinking of how I will take brisk walks in the countryside and so found the perfect pants for them!

Fundays in Topshop's Red Persian Trousers
On Sundays I like to do nothing responsible, instead I opt for a leisurely bike ride to the Farmer's Market, I opt to bake some kind of pie, I eat out, I take naps- Sundays can be best described as my Funday. It Reminds Me Of A Time In Provence, Though I've Never Been There

There's something about long wrap skirts that remind me of walking through the hillsides of Provence, I've never been to Provence - I'm sure you're laughing at me now, but one can dream. As I was perusing Free People online I saw this lovely wrap skirt simple with repeating floral print and yet unique with the side design.
